Knicks vs Spurs Game 4: The Swing Game at the Garden
The Knicks lead the NBA Finals 2-1, but Game 3 stung: San Antonio took the first Finals game at Madison Square Garden since 1999, 115-111, behind a 32-point Wembanyama masterclass and a 35-point third quarter. Now Game 4 on Wednesday (8:30 PM ET, ABC) is the swing game of the series. Win it, and New York is up 3-1 with three chances to close out the franchise's first title since 1973. Lose it, and the series is a best-of-three with two games in San Antonio. The market has the Knicks as short home favorites at -1.5, the tightest line of the series.

What Game 3 Changed
Three takeaways from Monday's 115-111 Spurs win that reframe the Game 4 handicap:
- Wembanyama solved the Garden. 32 points on 11-of-18, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, and he held Karl-Anthony Towns to 11. The "young Spurs wilt on Broadway" thesis is dead.
- San Antonio won with Fox scoring 2 points. That is both a warning and a comfort: the Spurs found a winning formula without their second star, but a 1-of-9 Fox night will not repeat. Some regression is coming, in their favor.
- New York's offense was fine; the third quarter was not. The Knicks scored 111 with Brunson at 32 and Anunoby at 28, but got outscored 35-27 in the third. The second-half wobble has now appeared twice in three games.
Game 4 Best Bets
Knicks -1.5 (-110)
The short number respects San Antonio's G3 win, but the spot favors New York: a desperation-adjacent home game, a Fox bounce-back already priced in, and a 35-6 home record. Two of the Knicks' three series wins came with double-digit fourth-quarter execution; lay the short number.
Towns Over 16.5 Points (-110)
Towns was held to 11 in Game 3 and answered every quiet playoff night this spring with a 20-plus bounce-back. The Knicks will scheme him post touches away from Wembanyama early. The number is depressed off one bad game.
Fox Over 14.5 Points (-115)
A 2-point Finals game from a max guard is a once-a-postseason outlier. Fox averaged 22-plus through the first two games and gets the same matchup back. Fade the outlier, not the player.
Brunson Over 5.5 Assists (-120)
Brunson has 6, 6, and 6 assists in the three games. San Antonio is selling out to make him a scorer late; the kick-out reads to Anunoby (9-of-13 in G3) and Bridges keep coming.
Under 216.5 (-110)
The series opened with two unders (200, 209) before G3's 226. The total has now chased the high game. Game 4s in tight Finals trend tense and physical; take the inflated number back under.
The Stakes: 3-1 vs 2-2
- If the Knicks win: 3-1 with Game 5 in San Antonio Saturday. Teams up 3-1 in the Finals have won the title in roughly 95% of cases. The Garden could see a championship clincher in Game 6.
- If the Spurs win: 2-2, best-of-three, and two of the last three in San Antonio. The series price flips toward even money and the Knicks' home-court edge is gone.
- MVP watch: The Brunson/Wembanyama market is now nearly a pick'em (+115/+130). Wednesday's winner likely takes the inside track.
